Testimony: Claudia Guerrero
My name is Claudia Guerrero, I was born in Manabi, Ecuador. I am the second daughter of four sisters in my family. Before meeting Lord Jesus Christ, I was involved in many kinds of bad habits. Now, I am saved by his mercy.
When I was a child, I grew up in a destroyed home, my parents separated since I was little. They did not know about Christ or the word of God. During those years, I lived with my grandmother, who was dedicated to witchcraft. I was raised without any advice, decency and exposed to bad habits being encourage to them by bad friendships. Besides, in my own family I always felt a completely emptiness. I did not have love and went aimlessly.
I had very bad experiences in my life even from my childhood when I still lived with my parents. Some men molested me, however, because of fear I never told my parents about it.
My mother never showed me any affection neither even a word of encouragement or sympathy. Many times, my oldest sister remembered my father and cried. My mother hugged her and cried together, while I only saw them away of them.
I never heard phrases like: I love you my daughter! Come with me! I am going to teach you how to do this… The affection that every child needs to have. For my birthday, my grandmother always made a family meeting. She used to buy us a cake and gathered my cousins who lived nearby. That was a beautiful moments, I will always remember: Being next to them helping my grandmother do the housework.
When I was a teenager, I did not finish high school. Although my father sent us money from Spain, it was not enough to continue with my studies.
I got married when I was 15 years old and I had my first daughter with whom is still my husband. Despite all problems and situations, we now have 12 years of marriage (by the grace of the Lord). My husband brought me to the United States to live with him.
After 2 years of coming here I accepted the Lord as my only savior. He changed my life, saved me from sin and the empty life I was carrying. Jesus Christ restored my dignity and gave a greater value to my life. He made me a new creature.
I was baptized in water on July 30, 2011. On the other hand, I was congregating in another church where I felt that I was not in the right place. Finally, through a sermon which I saw on the internet by Brother Humberto Henao, from Colombia, I was able to contact the Worldwide Missionary Movement in the USA. Today I am attending in a Worldwide Missionary Movement church in Bridgeport, CT. The Lord has blessed me by giving me five beautiful daughters. For all He has done in my life, I will continue to serve him, waiting for his coming or calling to his presence.
My dear friend: Jesus Christ loves you! I hope my testimony will inspire your life.
God bless you!
